Most people use Power BI to present charts, such as bar charts, line charts, and pie charts. But if you want to add some sense of design, in addition to color matching, you can also add some pictures. However, the built-in insert image function can only render one image at a time, if you want to present multiple charts, can you do it in the form of a slideshow? The following steps are provided:
1、In Power BI Desktop, select import more visuals, find Image Carousel。
2、To use this visual, you must convert the image to a publicly viewable URL. It is recommended to put the image you want to use in Google Photos, using the public link of Google Photos.
3、Once in the album, click on the photo you want to use as a slideshow, right-click, and select the Copy Image link.
4、Then assemble the URLs you want to render the slides into a data table and import them into Power BI.
5、Then add the Image Carousel visual effect. It only needs to put one field, which is the field of the image URL. to present a slideshow effect.
After completing the above actions, you have successfully made a slideshow effect. You can also further set the image size and the speed at which the slideshow can be switched. This feature can be used to showcase the company’s merchandise or to display a multi-page newsletter. Try this feature and improve the richness of your dashboard.
